Lavelle Morgan - Founder
Lavelle Morgan is a former professional baseball pitcher with an extensive background in player development, scouting, and collegiate placement. His baseball journey began in Houston, Texas, where he attended Oak Ridge High School, developing the foundation that would launch a long and impactful career in the game.
Following high school, Morgan was recruited to Texas A&M–Kingsville, where he made an immediate impact by competing at the collegiate level as a freshman. He later continued his college baseball career at McNeese State University, further refining his skills and gaining valuable experience at a highly competitive level.
After completing his college career, Morgan transitioned into professional baseball, beginning in independent league baseball before signing with the San Diego Padres organization. He went on to play six years of affiliated professional baseball, competing across multiple levels of the minor leagues, including time within the Tampa Bay Rays organization. His professional playing career provided him with deep insight into the demands, discipline, and mental toughness required to succeed at the highest levels of the sport.
Following his playing career, Morgan transitioned seamlessly into coaching and talent evaluation. He served as a pitching coach, working closely with athletes to develop mechanics, arm care, mental approach, and overall performance. He later spent 10 years as an associate scout, evaluating amateur and professional talent while gaining a comprehensive understanding of player projection and development pathways.
Over the course of his post-playing career, Morgan has successfully placed more than 600 student-athletes into colleges across all levels, including NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and junior college programs. His ability to identify talent, guide families, and match athletes with the right opportunities has made him a trusted figure in the baseball development and recruiting space. In addition to his scouting and placement work, Morgan has been actively involved as a select baseball coach for over 18 years, mentoring athletes on and off the field. His long-term commitment to youth and select baseball reflects a passion for developing not just skilled players, but disciplined, accountable young men prepared for the next level of competition and life beyond the game.
